Système U is the 4th largest food distribution group in France. It includes the Hyper U, Super U, Marché U, U Express and Utile brands. The U Group is a network of independent retailers who sell national and private label consumer products in outlets operated under the U brand. The U group is present in France, represented by 73,000 employees and 1,700 sales outlets, managed by associates and spread throughout the country.
As part of the upcoming implementation of the 2024-2026 tax reform, which requires French companies to receive and issue invoices in electronic format, U IRIS has appointed Generix Group to handle its invoice dematerialization project. The ambition of this project for the U group is to be able to process all the company’s invoices, i.e around 12 million invoices per year from 2024 and up to 15 million thereafter. The project will be deployed in two stages, the first for transactions involving central purchasing units and the second for processing the incoming and outgoing invoice flows of the 1,700 sales outlets.
U IRIS was looking for a consulting partner with a highly adaptable solution that would perfectly meet all its business needs. The understanding of the stakes and the contextualization of the solution by Generix Group’s teams convinced the company’s project teams to start this collaboration together.
« I am very happy to see Generix Group position itself as a trusted partner for the dematerialization of Système U’s invoicing process. The company is indeed exposed to strong stakes in the context of the arrival of the 2024-2026 tax reform. We have worked closely with the teams of U IRIS to offer the response and advice best suited to their needs and their business context. », adds Philippe Seguin, General Manager of Generix Group in France.
« The implementation of the 2024-2026 tax reform represents a real challenge for us, due to the volume of invoices processed and the structure of our organization. That's why we were looking for a partner with strong expertise in dematerialization, able to integrate our business challenges and offer us a high-performance solution that can be easily deployed on a large scale. This is what the Generix Group teams were able to demonstrate to us throughout the tender process we carried out. We are convinced of Generix Group's strong expertise to carry out this structuring project and meet the requirements of the new reform, while facilitating the change of invoicing process for all our stakeholders. »
