Context

Brief presentation of COROOS

COROOS is a Dutch family company since 1957 that started with the manual canning of soft fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Meanwhile, their quality products find their way to consumers via supermarkets in Europe. COROOS preserves fruit, legumes and vegetables in jars, cans and flexible packaging that can be found on both the grocery and refrigerated shelves of supermarkets.


COROOS focuses on quality fruit concepts that are oriented towards health, taste and convenience. They focus on sugar reduction and organic fruit snacks, introduce new fruit varieties and fruit snacks with pieces of fruit and are leaders in packaging development for snacking and individual consumption.


Legumes are still relatively unknown, but through COROOS, consumers are finding their way to tasty and healthy meals thanks to the legumes in jars and cans. The aim of COROOS is to stick as closely as possible to the natural taste, colour, smell and bite by adding as little salt and e-numbers as possible.


The consumption of vegetables is also on the rise. For people with little time, preserved vegetables in pots and cans offer a healthy and tasty solution. To keep up with new trends and eating patterns, COROOS also offers single and double portions and innovates on taste and health.

The project in details

Due to the growth of COROOS, they were looking for a solution to automate and simplify the entire order process. Generix EDI Services turned out to be the ideal match to relieve COROOS of all its worries and to make the administrative processes run more smoothly.


In the meantime, an EDI connection has been set up with more than 50 customers of COROOS and there is an annual exchange of more than 40,000 messages. The solution is implemented in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), so COROOS does not have to worry about the technical set-up and additional maintenance.


In addition, cooperation is constantly optimised through the use of smart tools, such as a project group with Generix Group, COROOS and the end customer. Based on the right division of tasks, they work together more efficiently with greater time savings as the end result.
