Salvesen Logística, the quality and quantity leader in the logistics and controlled temperature sector handles collecting, consolidating and storing its clients stock on its own premises. They prepare themselves the orders they receive each day and ship them on time through its own distribution network.
In order to perform these activities more effectively and efficiently, the company decided to completely integrate its supply chain with the range of solutions offered by Generix Group.
Having a warehouse management system which is reliable, complete, communicative and quick to implement is a significant advantage for a provider of logistics services. To this end, Salvesen Logística entrusted the management of 11 of its platforms to the warehouse management system (WMS).
The operation of Salvesen Logística’s logistics platforms can be adapted to the various management tools used by their clients since, using Generix’s WMS, they obtain greater reliability in operations and an absolute guarantee of the integrity of the movements of goods from the warehousing covering the various logistics activities: from industrial warehouse and distribution warehouse operations to cross-docking and tight flow with ventilation operations.
Salvesen Logística, implemented the transport management system (TMS) to manage its capillary and long haul transport on all of the logistics platforms on the Iberian Peninsula.
The implementation of Generix TMS enables Salvesen to completely manage its entire transport network, both on a national and international level:
The primary objectives that drove the logistics operator to embark on this project were: taking advantage of the synergies between the different entities with a view to reducing costs incurred through transport, centralising all transport information in common system, improving information management and traceability of the transport events and having a totally integrated system (Today, Generix WMS and Generix TMS) with a natural interface between the various tools.
Likewise, the solution offered by Generix Group was rounded off by implementing the GLS tool for single management of the benchmark of the 14 platforms, at product, delivery point and shipper levels.
